Business Development Manager - The Role:
As the Business Development Manager, your role will be to understand clients' operational challenges and commercial drivers, creating compelling value propositions that align with their needs. This position is integral to our expansion plans, as you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and collaborating closely with our engineering, customer service, delivery, and operations teams.
Business Development Manager – Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain credible, long-term relationships with electrical utilities and supply chain partners
- Identify and nurture new business opportunities and applications in the power sector
- Manage both new and existing customer relationships, ensuring a smooth interface between customers and internal teams
- Represent the company with integrity, passion, and commitment in UK and global markets
Business Development Manager – You:
- Experience: A minimum of four years in customer-facing roles (e.g., field applications engineering, sales engineering, or business development) within the electrical power sector
- Academic Background: Graduate-level qualification in a relevant field
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information effectively
- Collaborative Mindset: Confidence working within interdisciplinary teams in a high-tech growth environment
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record in capital sales through intricate supply chains, with the ability to clearly articulate complex value propositions
- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in preparing high-quality, concise business cases, proposals, and presentations
- Self-Motivation: A proactive, autonomous approach to time and workload management
- Travel Willingness: Willing and able to travel to engage with customers and partners.
