Job Advert DRIVER ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE  Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker who can drive to join our incredible team in Redruth. On a full time, permanent contract. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life. Daily activities can include, carriage driving, dance classes, volunteering jobs, walks along the beach, café trips, power boating, swimming. Every day is a new day at this service! It is a very active house, where there is always something going on!   We support 4 people within one household who all get along very well, with a range of different needs.   What we're looking for: ·      A genuine passion for supporting others. ·      Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. ·      Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. ·      A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities. This role requires you to be a driver, due to the active lifestyle the people we support lead.  Contract options:  ·      Full-time: 37.5 hours Shift times: All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life! ·      Days: Between 07:30-22:00, Split shifts also available finishing at 15:30/16:00, or starting at 15:30-16:00   ·      Sleep ins 22:00-09:00  There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.   *All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
