Senior Mental Health Practitioner (Eating Disorders) – Birmingham – Ongoing Are you an experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner with a passion for community care and expertise in eating disorders? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to take on a new challenge in this vital area of mental health. Key Details of the Role: Position: Senior Mental Health Practitioner (Eating Disorders) Band: 6 Location: Birmingham Contract Duration: 3 months (with the potential to extend) Schedule: Full-time (Day shifts) Start Date: ASAP Rate of Pay: £24 - £26 per hour (dependent on experience) What to Expect in Your Role as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner: As a specialist in mental health nursing with a focus on community care, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to individuals struggling with eating disorders. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Community Visits: Conduct regular check-ins with patients in the community to assess their well-being and ensure their needs are being met. Medication Administration: Administer necessary medications on a daily schedule, ensuring patients receive the right treatments at the right time. Patient Support & Monitoring: Engage in meaningful conversations with patients to understand their conditions, track their progress, and identify any improvements or setbacks. Risk Assessments: Perform risk assessments to ensure patient safety, protecting them and those around them during treatment. Requirements: NMC Registration: Active registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN). Community Experience: Proven experience working in a community mental health setting. Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to work effectively under pressure. Teamwork & Independence: Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
