HGV Class 2 Day Driver

Apollo Recruitment are currently seeking a Class 2 relief driver in the Swindon area on behalf of their well established food service Client. This will be an 8 week temp to perm position for the right candidate. As a relief driver your duty will be to cover deliveries as and when required due to holidays, sickness and absence or any other situation as they arise. This will be on a MON-FRI weekly schedule with a minimum of 6 hours per day. **NEW PASSES WELCOME** Location : Swindon Type : 8-week Temp to Perm Salary : £32,868.00 per annum Schedule : Monday to Friday, with varied start times between 4am and 8am. Minimum of 6 hours per day. Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Checks : Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and the load is secure before leaving the site. Paperwork : Complete and manage all relevant paperwork for each delivery according to company procedures. Cash Handling : Handle and collect payments as per company policy, ensuring all payments are correctly cashed in at the end of each day. Vehicle Cleanliness : Maintain vehicle cleanliness to the standards required for company audits. Report Issues : Immediately report any vehicle defects or concerns to the Operations Manager.
