Role Overview
As a successful Future Teacher, you'll take on the role of a Cover Supervisor within a secondary school in the Langport area. Your responsibilities will include stepping in during short-term teacher absences, ensuring continuity in student learning by overseeing tasks set by the teacher. While there's no active teaching, marking, or planning required, you'll provide supervision, delivering a high-quality learning experience and gaining valuable insights into the teaching profession.

During Placement, You Will:
Maintain a reflective journal to document your daily experiences
Observe lessons within your subject area and beyond to broaden your teaching knowledge
Learn effective differentiation, behavior management, and non-subject activities such as registration and assemblies
Collaborate with staff to support student development through pastoral systems
Familiarize yourself with school policies and understand their rationale for development
Master the syllabus in your subject area and explore how your degree knowledge can be applied, presenting this to the school
Support students in coursework and exam preparation
