WE’RE HIRING We're seeking a Social-savvy Commercial Research & Insights Lead with a flair for strategic thinking and a drive to innovate, who can support our team in building out our audience intelligence products that will inspire creative solutions for some of the most culturally relevant brands in the world. You will have a passion for understanding what makes people tick; a natural ability to interpret data and translate statistics into stories; and turn research into meaningful, actionable insights. Working within our commercial team, you’ll be running end-to-end consumer research, social listening and effectiveness projects that help JOE deliver culturally astute pitches as well as consumer insight driven sponsorable content ideas. The ideal candidate will strive to balance innovative and creative thinking with robust analytical foundations and should have a firm understanding of the difference between information and insights. Starting Salary: £50,000. Office Location: Exmouth Market, Farringdon Hybrid Working: 3 days RESPONSIBILITIES Using third-party and proprietary analytics tools to generate insights (TGI, Tubular, One Pulse etc) Analysing large, complex and often unstructured datasets to generate actionable insight Delivering findings in written qualitative and quantitative insight reports Designing innovative mixed-methodology studies that prove the value of our work in PCA studies and ultimately unlock creative opportunities for the commercial team as well as supporting industry awards entries. Elevating social listening within the business, ensuring that all colleagues understand the power and flexibility of the research methodologies and how this is applied to briefs and editorial enhancements. Regular audience profiling and deep dives Competitor positioning and analysis Presenting research and insight internally and externally to clients Oversight of the process from scoping research through to implementation, delivery and debriefing Keeping on top of trends in data analysis and social media, and continue to proactively learn and develop your skillset. Regular thought leadership and representation of JOE within the industry. Help promote and develop the role of insight across the business Keep up to speed on latest industry developments and have a strong point of view on emerging consumer trends. Champion best practice use of tools within JOE and facilitate training Share research best practices and findings, including customer insight, benchmarking, and industry updates Collaboration with senior stakeholders within JOE ABOUT YOU 3-5 years experience in digital / social agencies or publisher The ideal candidate will have a strong, holistic expertise in research & insights A knowledge of the marketing and digital/social media landscapes, and wider culturally-relevant issues Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Facebook Studio, Pulsar, GWI or other intelligence platforms A natural curiosity and understanding of consumer behaviours, their mind-sets, needs & wants Proven report writing and presentation skills As a strategic thinker you’re able to apply social listening insights to a range of businesses, categories and business problems. A love for data and numbers with experience with datasets, and drawing insight from them High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, together with an analytical mind A high level of organisation and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and respond to urgent requests Excellent understanding of quantitative research, data planning, manipulating large data sets and data visualisation BENEFITS We are a growing company that provides the opportunity to take part in all sorts of business building conversations and experiences.
