About the role Reporting to the Development Research Manager, the Senior Development Research Officer plays a vital role in the University’s fundraising operation. You will be accountable for the provision of accurate and appropriate information relating to potential and current donors to the University, high net worth individuals, corporations and charitable foundations worldwide. In particular, this role will focus on researching and prospecting ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI) for our transformational philanthropy fundraisers, providing research and insight for fundraisers and our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in this core area of our 200th anniversary campaign. Working with colleagues, you will be responsible for the University’s programme of identification and analysis of potential donors, deploying and refining systems to support the documentation and management of such potential donors and suggesting tailored strategies to reach and engage such donors. You will play an important part in gift acceptance due diligence; and have responsibility for developing an effective workload management system for the Research Team. You will also manage three development research staff and work closely with major gift fundraisers to help raise vital funds towards our appeals.
