Our R&D client, specialising in electric motors and controllers, is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer (Functional Safety) to join their Engineering team. This role ensures adherence to Functional Safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508) through verification, validation, and testing of safety-critical systems. Key Responsibilities: Deliver core Functional Safety across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508. Conduct comprehensive Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA), Fault Tree Analyses (FTA), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety plans, safety cases, and safety analysis reports. Collaborate with firmware teams to establish and refine processes that align with Functional Safety standards. Perform gap analyses on new and existing systems to identify compliance issues and improvement areas. Create and implement safety validation strategies, including test planning and execution for safety goal validation. Conduct verification reviews to ensure all test activities comply with internal and external standards. Educate engineering teams on Functional Safety best practices and foster a culture of safety within the organization. Support the development of electric systems specifications in line with Functional Safety requirements. Qualifications: Degree in Engineering (Master's preferred). Experience in ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 functional safety. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. TPBN1_UKTJ
