Service Charge Analyst (Temporary Contract) Contract: 12-week initial contract, with potential for extension or permanent Working Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days in the office Pay Rate: £20.88 per hour PAYE or £27.45 per hour Umbrella About the Role: We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Service Charge Analyst to join a well-respected housing association on a temporary basis. This role offers an initial 12-week contract with the possibility of extension or transitioning into a permanent position. You will play a key role in the service charge actuals and budget-setting process by producing detailed financial analysis, resolving exceptions, and liaising with internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Produce thorough analysis of actual expenditure and estimate future costs for service charge budgets. - Calculate provisions for replacement and refurbishment requirements. - Review and verify contracts and allocate costs to the correct schemes. - Resolve any exceptions within schemes and monitor spend variances. - Investigate and resolve issues related to invoice coding, apportionment, and the accuracy of logged data. - Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather supporting documentation, such as invoices and contracts. - Check the integrity of account data and analyse variances, ensuring accurate statements are prepared and approved. - Use multiple systems to extract budget and actual data. - Respond to customer enquiries, investigating and escalating issues using case management techniques. Requirements: - Experience in service charge analysis, ideally within housing associations or property management. - Strong financial and data analysis skills, with the ability to monitor and resolve budget variances. - Excellent attention to detail, particularly with contract checking and cost allocation. - Good communication skills for liaising with internal stakeholders and handling customer enquiries. - Ability to navigate and work across multiple financial systems.
