Are you ready to join?#LI-THEAA #LI-HybridThis is the jobReporting to the Group Head of SEO, you’ll join a team of SEO specialists and content writers focused on improving organic performance and website experience for AA Cars customers. As a confident copywriter, editor, and content producer with experience in the Automotive sector, you’ll deliver engaging, on-brand content that delights customers. Your role will focus on writing and editing content for our AA Cars business area, including e-commerce style landing pages and editorial articles, with a focus on UX copywriting and SEO optimisation.In this role, you’ll build pages and update existing content directly in a CMS, requiring detail-oriented skills and experience in web publishing and content configuration. Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with internal teams such as SEO, PR, Developers, and Product to integrate content creation into new page templates, plan and deliver content strategies and produce content roadmaps. You’ll also need to get content approved by stakeholders and build effective working relationships.You will play a key role in growing our content and organic performance footprint by aligning with various stakeholders across the business. This includes understanding product USPs, compliance requirements, Brand ToV, and commercial priorities to align them with customer needs and content opportunities. Your experience in the Automotive market and self-sufficiency will be crucial in this role.What will I be doing?Create content for landing pages using UX copywriting principles that describe product features, car makes and model USPs, and AA services in a way that supports consumers, delivers SEO value, and achieves conversion.Work collaboratively with the wider design team, including UI/UX designers, to create user-focused copy and seamless customer journeys.Write editorial articles on automotive news, advice content for drivers, and evergreen guides to support customers buying our services and products online.Write and edit copy in line with our brand, tone of voice, house style guidelines, and content strategy.Ensure content is optimised for organic searches by working closely with SEO teams and having a strong working knowledge of SEO principles for content creation.Responsible for ensuring the editorial process delivers best-in-class content and that pages get from brief to live efficiently and agilely.Support off-site SEO activity as required with ideation and content creation, working directly with the SEO and PR teams as well as external agencies when required.Refresh existing content to ensure it is up-to-date, accurate, and helpful for consumers, and create new content to support both customer intent and our broader SEO profile where an opportunity exists.Build and edit content pages in our CMS, including configuring new landing pages, product listing pages, and advice articles.Translate legal/compliance requirements into user-focused plain English.Work across multiple projects, using your knowledge to develop outstanding content across all digital channels and push creative boundaries.Present content to stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and be an advocate for our content principles.Carry out user research to inform content decisions.Know and understand the KPIs for the department, and use them when creating content.What do I need?Experience as a copywriter or editor creating content within the automotive vertical.Good understanding of consumer needs and trends in the automotive industry.Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce engaging editorial copy at pace.Experience in writing revenue-driving ecommerce content using UX copywriting principles. Familiar with user journeys, wireframes, and transactional content.Demonstrable working knowledge of SEO best practices for content creation.Experience using CMS systems to publish content and comfortable working with HTML.Experienced in tackling briefs and following brand guidelines, copy decks, TOV guidelines/style guides when creating new or re-purposing old content.Strong grounding in digital content marketing and experience working with PR, Brand, and Compliance teams to get content approved that meets company guidelines.Excellent written and verbal communication, with meticulous attention to detail when proofreading your own or another editor’s work.Results-focused and strategic approach to work, with an appreciation of how data and insight should influence copy.Additional informationWe’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do.
