Automation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our client in Basildon. Key Responsibilities of the Automation Technician: Design PLC-based electrical control systems from technical specifications. Program PLCs, touchscreens, safety configurable relay systems, and integrate vision systems. Configure remote I/O, servo motors, and inverter drives. Collaborate with electricians and panel builders to design, build, and commission control systems. Fault-find electrical control systems, including PLC and hardwired systems. Provide commissioning, support, and service both at the factory and on-site at customer locations worldwide.Essential Requirements needed for this Automation Technician position: Formal Electrical Engineering qualification Strong understanding of electrical drawings and control panel specification/design. Knowledge of PLC programming, touchscreen interfaces, and control systems. Familiarity with vision and SCADA systems.Personal Attributes: Ability to work effectively in a varied and dynamic role. Willingness to travel internationally to support our customer base. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
