Goodman Masson are currently supporting a highly respected and leading, global private equity firm in its search for a skilled Finance Business Partner to join its London-based team, supporting the European real estate portfolio. This role will involve acting as a vital liaison across multiple functional areas, working closely with senior leaders and global teams to enhance the value and performance of the firm's European fund portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee quarterly forecasts and collaborate on deal-level projections with senior management, providing insights to support strategic decision-making. Engage with asset managers, treasury, investor relations, and audit teams to ensure seamless communication and integration across all areas of the portfolio. Support and drive the timely, accurate preparation of quarterly valuations and fund performance summaries. Provide detailed portfolio analytics, working alongside the investor relations team to prepare and review key data for quarterly investor letters. Coordinate the preparation of investor-specific reporting, including fund-level forecasts and performance summaries, addressing ad-hoc requests as needed. Lead initiatives in process and technology transformation within liquidity management, debt reporting, and valuations. Supervise and collaborate with the shared services team, overseeing valuation, fund performance, and forecasting activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
University degree with an ACA (or equivalent) or CFA qualification, with at least 5+ years of post-qualification experience. Prior experience in Private Equity, Investment Management, or Financial Services is highly advantageous. Advanced Excel skills with a robust understanding of finance and accounting principles. Previous experience as a Finance Business Partner, FP&A, Analyst, or a role in Transaction Services, M&A, or Corporate Finance within an accounting firm. Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, particularly Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models. Able to interpret, assess, and effectively communicate changes in model assumptions. Excellent relationship-building abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within cross-functional, global teams. Strong project management and multitasking capabilities, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
