Working for a fast-growing and award-winning London based food company looking for an experienced Transport Manager:
Main Tasks of the Job:
- Planning and Scheduling: Planning routes and delivery times and working with suppliers and customers.
- Vehicle maintenance: Ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, including arranging repairs and routine maintenance.
- Driver management: Ensuring drivers have the correct qualifications and documents, and that they follow regulations.
- Team management: Managing and organizing training for drivers, administrators, and supervisors.
- Contract management: Managing performance and ensuring targets are met.
- Performance reporting: Putting together performance reports
- Ensure adequate training is given to all transport teams.
- Compliance: Maintaining Health and Safety Compliance.
- Ensure accurate completion of timesheets, tachographs, and other driver records.
- Ensure the economical and efficient use of transport.
- Liaising with drivers, managers, clients and security to ensure the above tasks are completed effectively.
- Liaise collaboratively with Customer Service to improve customer satisfaction levels.
- At least 5-10 years of experience working in Transport.
- Has experience managing deliveries to high-end hotels, restaurants and VIP households.
- Familiar with London, Birmingham, and Manchester routes/areas.
- Ability to create budget, performance, and productivity reports.
- Experience dealing directly with clients, customers, and stakeholders.
- Road Safety and Highway Code exposure in previous roles.
