IT Asset & CMDB Manager Permanent Location: Hybrid (Lytham based + Home) Salary: £38 - 41K (+ excellent benefits including 28% pension contributions) Skills: Asset Management, CMDB administration, ITILv4 Our client is a UK Government organisation with an excellent work / life balance culture and opportunities for long-term career development. This role sits in the IT Operations Team. Key Responsibilities: Be responsible for ensuring all IT assets and configuration information, (from multiple suppliers), is accurately stored and maintained in one central location. Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, (cloud components, hardware, software, licences and warranties etc.) Taking into account asset usage, disposal, compliance, inventory, sustainability, cost optimisation and protection of the IT asset portfolio. Plan roadmap to ensure upgrades are completed ahead of time. Skills & Experience: 2+ years' experience in an IT asset management and CMDB administration role Good understanding of ITILv4 framework and best practise. Familiar with an asset management tool and CMDB platform such as ServiceNow Excellent written and verbal communication skills. String understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud and software components would be ideal Qualifications in IT, (Computer Science Degree or similar) and Certifications in ITIL and IT Asset Management ideal
