Business Development Manager – Food Wholesale Sector Salary: Competitive Basic + Car Allowance & Bonus (Hybrid working – Minimum 2 days in the office) Are you a dynamic Business Development professional with a passion for the food industry? What You’ll Be Doing: New Business Development: Identify, target, and secure new customers in line with the company’s strategic growth plans. Sales Strategy Execution: Work closely with the senior sales team to implement and deliver key sales strategies across product categories. Key Account Handover: Successfully mobilise and manage new customer accounts before transitioning to the Account Management team. Market Networking: Attend industry conferences and events to build valuable connections with potential clients. Proposal & Tender Creation: Prepare compelling business proposals, collaborating with teams across commercial support, finance, and distribution. Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed activity reports and drive results, ensuring targets for revenue and gross margins are met. What We’re Looking For: Industry Expertise: Significant experience in the foodservice or wholesale sector, with a proven track record of winning profitable business. Sales Drive: A proactive, tenacious approach to securing and managing new business opportunities. Strategic Thinker: Strong knowledge of sales planning and reporting, with the ability to work autonomously and meet set targets. Communication Skills: You possess a professional, persuasive manner with excellent verbal and organisational skills. What’s in it for You?
