YOUR ROLE Digital Strategy Development: Assess current digital capabilities and identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Develop comprehensive digital strategies that align with business objectives, including digital marketing, e-commerce, customer experience, and technology solutions. Create roadmaps for digital transformation, including timelines, key milestones, and implementation strategies. UX Leadership & Strategy: Lead the UX design vision for digital banking products across web and mobile platforms.Develop and execute a user-centred design strategy aligned with the company's goals and customer needs in the banking sector. Act as a thought leader, influencing stakeholders and promoting best practices in user-centred design and usability. Customer Experience & UX Consulting: Analyse customer touchpoints and digital interfaces to identify areas for enhancement. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to improve the user experience across websites, apps, and digital platforms. UX Design & Prototyping: Create detailed wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes for complex banking systems and workflows. Design secure, intuitive, and accessible banking interfaces that comply with industry regulations, including accessibility standards (WCAG). Consulting & Advisory Role: Offer consulting services to internal teams and external banking clients, advising on best practices in UX design, usability, and customer experience within financial services. Conduct UX audits for existing digital banking platforms to identify areas of improvement. Mentoring & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of UX/UI designers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to upskill team members in user-centered design practices and banking UX knowledge. Qualifications/Preferred Skills: 7 years of experience in UX design, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior position . Proven experience designing user experiences for banking or financial services platforms, including knowledge of industry-specific challenges like security, regulation, and multi-step processes (e.g., payments, loan applications) will be added advantage Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma , Sketch , Adobe XD , and Axure . Strong experience in user research methodologies and usability testing in the banking context. Excellent communication and presentation skills , with the ability to influence stakeholders and present design ideas clearly. Experience in managing or mentoring a team and providing leadership in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies. Knowledge of WCAG accessibility guidelines and ability to design for users with disabilities. Strong understanding of data privacy and security standards in banking UX design.
