Solutions Architect

Gibbs Hybrid require an experienced Azure SME. They’re looking for someone with architecture experience, but with solid, hands-on Azure building and configuration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Azure solutions as part of application migration from on prem to Azure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, prior hands on experience with Azure and a deep understanding of various services that are provided by Azure. Experience with Azure architecture to drive migration and automation using native Azure tools and services. Required Industry Experience 10+ years’ experience with Azure platform with a mix of hands-on SME and solutions architect on Azure. Demonstrated ability to deal with client, discuss Azure capabilities and recommend the right way forward for client applications landscape. Day rate: £700-£750 inside IR35 Location: Fully remote – Candidates must be UK based an SC cleared Duration: 6-12 months Clearance: You must hold an active UK security clearance to be considered Required Skills Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with Azure. Experience with AWS is a plus. Extensive experience with using various Azure services. Implementation of Azure services within the DevOps construct. Extensive experience in using webservices/IOT/Azure Gateway/Serverless functions/other cloud objects. Prior experience in DevOps engineering is a plus. Roles And Responsibilities Expertise in architecting innovative and customer-focused solutions with Azure cloud. Exposure to various Azure services and usage of native servcies Develop architectural blueprints for clients target architecture in the cloud, along with descriptive documentation and communicate them to all stakeholders Experience with complex Azure Cloud transformation projects and implementing cloud technologies Design and deployed Azure Landing Zone for data centre exit programme. Write Low Level Design (LLD) and Physical Design Documents (PDD) for application migrations/modernisation from existing Data centre to Azure Cloud Develop high level designs, review client provided design and build low level designs for implementation. Experience in designing cloud solutions centred around native Azure services keeping factors such as traceability, and security across all infrastructure deployments. Work closely with development and security teams to integrate Terraform solutions into the CI/CD pipeline. Provide guidance and mentorship on best practices in Azure platform-based solutions Documentation: Expert in Creation/Maintain high level and Low-level design based to the customer requirements Able to Guide the team to develop new solutions using webservices/IOT/Azure Gateway/Serverless functions/other cloud objects Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure. Work with stakeholders and develop Terraform designs to migrate workloads. Lead the design and implement best practices for cloud infrastructure and security.
