Hays are working with a UK bank who are looking to add a Building Services Technician to their data centre.
You will have gained a qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline at HNC level or above, or have served and completed an apprenticeship. Sufficient skills, knowledge & experience within a critical building environment with data centres being an advantage would also be considered. Due to the location, you will require a driving licence. What you'll get in return
You will be offered a highly competitive salary and will be working a shift pattern which will give you a high number of days off within the rota as well as your annual leave. This will include dayshift, backshift & night shift and be a repeat rota in line with the business needs.

Your new company
You will be joining a small business services team at a large data centre based in Edinburgh. The facility
Your new role
You will be acting as the person accountable for all day-to-day and change activity within the property. You'll be delivering all facilities in accordance with approved procedures and standards, as well as making sure that service level targets are achieved in relation to running costs, energy conservation and cost reduction opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operation of building services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
