Legal Cashier Experience: Minimum 12 months in a Legal Cashier post. Location: Coventry Salary guide (DOE): £22,000 - £28,000 Office based, joining a team of cashiers Simpson Judge are proud to be assisting a reputable longstanding Coventry based law firm in their search for an experienced Legal Cashier that has prior experience in a law firm that has dealt with a variety of departments such as Residential Property, Family, Private Client and so on. Our client is a traditional law firm with a multiple sites which you and your colleague would be covering from the central office in Coventry. The role would need the successful candidate to be in the office 5 days a week, unless a part time role is agreed. Main duties: * Bank Reconciliations & Out of Date Cheques * Identifying, allocating and posting incoming electronic & manual receipts * Banking of Office & Client Account receipts * Checking & inputting CHAPS payments onto our in-house Bankline system * Processing credit card payments * Preparing cheque payments & distributing to fee earners * Checking & posting bills * Posting Client to Office Transfers and transferring monies on Bankline * Dealing with any internal or external enquiries * Making payments from petty cash & reconciliation of petty cash * Assisting with any filing and general administration duties on a daily basis * Ensure all client transactions comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules * Ensure bills are accurately input on system on daily basis * Input purchase ledger details on to Partner * Input office disbursements on to system * Produce accurate and up-to-date excel spreadsheets as required * Payment of staff expenses on a monthly basis * Deal with fee earner queries on a daily basis * Carry out general administration tasks as required * Maintain confidentially in all matters relating to Partnership finances, client accounts and staff pay * Participate in the firm's appraisal system * Undertake relevant training activities * Any other appropriate duties as required If you could be interested in hearing more about this position then be sure to apply within and or get in touch with Stephan Kuhn of Simpson Judge @ Stephan.
