Job Title: 7.5 Tonne Customer Delivery Driver Location: Dagenham and surrounding areas. Salary: £34,844 Overview: Join our client's team as a 7.5 Tonne Customer Delivery Driver, delivering to customers' homes. Working as part of a two-person team, you’ll ensure products are delivered, and sometimes assembled, in the customer’s chosen room. This is more than just a driving role – you’ll be the face of the company, delivering exceptional customer service. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, starting between 6:00-6:30 AM. 48 hours per week. What We’re Looking For: Are you an experienced, customer-focused 7.5-tonne driver who can handle home deliveries and heavy lifting? We need someone who’s not only skilled at driving but also excellent at interacting with customers and providing a first-class experience. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver and, if needed, assemble mattresses and furniture as part of a two-person team. * Handle heavy goods and ensure deliveries are made to the customer’s room of choice. * Provide friendly, professional customer service, leaving a positive impression. * Ensure timely deliveries, keep customers updated by phone, and complete paperwork using a PDA. * Work with warehouse teams to ensure safe and accurate deliveries. * Keep your vehicle clean and roadworthy, reporting any issues promptly. Requirements: * UK Category C1 driving licence and valid CPC/Digital Tachograph card. * Experience driving 7.5-tonne vehicles and handling heavy goods. * Good communication and people skills, with some experience in a customer-facing role. * Familiarity with EU driving laws and tachograph use. * Must be 21 or older (for insurance purposes). * subject to a DBS check * *First Base Employment is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
