AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Strategic Business Development Manager to partner with our top-tier Partners and guide them through transformative cloud adoption.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Develop deep, trusted relationships with partner leadership, gaining a comprehensive understanding of their challenges, goals, and long-term vision.
  2. Leverage your financial modeling and ROI quantification skills to build compelling business cases that demonstrate the tangible value of cloud migration and transformation.
  3. Design and facilitate interactive workshops that drive specific outcomes, such as new service ideation, cost optimization, organizational change management, and the development of profitable AWS service offerings.
  4. Position yourself as a trusted advisor and thought leader, sharing industry insights, best practices, and strategic guidance to empower partners and accelerate their cloud journey.
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally with AWS sales, marketing, product, and operational teams to develop tailored transformation roadmaps and execute flawless partner engagements.
  6. Prepare and present business reviews to senior leadership, communicating market realities, partner needs, and strategic recommendations.
  7. Conduct in-depth market research to identify new collaboration and growth opportunities between AWS and our partners, exploring emerging trends, technologies, and customer demands.
  8. Interface with internal leadership and external CxO-level stakeholders, earning their trust and securing executive-level buy-in and support for strategic initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
  2. Experience with technology transformation initiatives
  3. Executive level facilitator experience, identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
  4. Industry / Cloud / IT experience with Global System Integrator / Global Tech Company
  5. Big 4 Management Consulting experience or equivalent with PE / VC / Strategic advisory firms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. MBA
