We are recruiting for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead a prestigious café located in the heart of Liverpool. If you are a hospitality professional with a passion for delivering outstanding service and managing a thriving team, this role is perfect for you.

About the Role:
  • Location: Liverpool City Centre
  • Hours: 40 to 48 per week, including weekends and evenings as needed
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience
  • Service Style: Breakfast, lunch, bistro-style dining, and afternoon teas, catering to a diverse and upscale clientele
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Management: Lead and inspire the front-of-house and kitchen teams to deliver exceptional service, maintaining high standards of quality at all times.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations, including staffing, inventory, and customer service, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Customer Experience: Enhance guest satisfaction by responding to feedback, addressing any issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, cost control, and revenue optimization, implementing strategies to drive sales growth.
  • Team Training & Development: Onboard new staff, conduct regular training sessions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the café adheres to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Event Coordination: Organize and oversee special events such as afternoon teas and private functions, creating memorable experiences for guests.
About You:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role within hospitality, preferably in a high-end café or restaurant
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food service industry
