Admissions Administrator

Part time: 22 hours per week, over 4 days. 40 weeks per annum (term time + 6 weeks).

Salary: FTE £25,000-£27,000 (depending on experience), Actual Salary £11,282 - £12,184


Downe House is a leading independent boarding school for girls aged 11-18, based in the village of Cold Ash near Thatcham. Our aim is to provide pupils with a wealth of academic, pastoral and co-curricular opportunities to allow them to grow into confident young women prepared to take on the world.

We are seeking an outstanding Administrator to join our Admissions team. The team manages the whole pupil admissions process, from handling prospective parent enquiries up to a pupils first day at the school. This is a varied role, where you will assist with responding to initial enquiries, building relationships with prospective parents, managing the 16+ entry process, and dealing with the administration for Parents Events and Assessment Days.

The successful candidate will require previous administration experience and possess excellent organisational and IT skills. We are looking for someone who can show a strong commitment to the Downe House ethos, and who will be comfortable working in a front facing role, meeting with parents and pupils. Previous experience of working in a school or educational environment is desirable, but not essential.
