Purpose of Role

About You
We seek a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sales Executive to join our team as an individual contributor. You will be responsible for driving sales of our SaaS solutions, specifically targeting the retail, e-commerce, and logistics industries.

Your role will focus on acquiring new clients, nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and helping brands optimize their operations through our suite of technology products. This role requires a deep understanding of the SaaS landscape, strong industry connections, and a passion for helping businesses transform through technology.

You will be joining nShift at a pivotal period, as the business is undergoing an exciting transformation after the merger of five leading companies within the industry, creating a true market leader in our space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to identify, target, and close deals with mid-to-enterprise retail, e-commerce, and logistics companies.
  • New Business Development: Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target sectors, focusing on expanding our footprint in the UK market, which is a key growth area.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, key decision-makers, and influencers within target companies to ensure long-term client acquisition success.
  • Solution Selling: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of our SaaS solutions and how they address client needs, with the ability to tailor pitches and presentations to different audiences.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through active prospecting, lead generation, and CRM management, ensuring timely follow-ups and progress toward sales targets.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead contract negotiations and work closely with internal stakeholders to structure and close deals that align with business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and professional service teams to ensure a seamless client experience from initial engagement to onboarding and beyond.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates (weekly/monthly/quarterly) on sales activities, forecasts, and key account plans to senior leadership.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven success in a senior sales role within the SaaS industry, ideally selling to retail, e-commerce, or logistics clients.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the retail, e-commerce, and logistics industries, with the ability to articulate the specific challenges and opportunities these sectors face.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales quotas, particularly in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Client Relationships: Existing network of contacts within retail, e-commerce, and logistics sectors that can be leveraged to generate new business.
  • Solution-Oriented: Strong consultative sales approach with experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder SaaS solutions.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Able to convey complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Salesloft) for pipeline management, outreach cadences, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Self-Starter: Proactive, results-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Familiarity with technologies such as warehouse management systems (WMS), delivery and returns management, or other supply chain/logistics platforms.
    • Experience working with UK and global retail or logistics brands.
    • Previous experience in a high-growth SaaS company or startup environment.
