Job Title: Class 1, Category CE HGV Driver Location: Tewkesbury Depot, Cotteswold Dairy Position Type: Full-Time (48 hours/week, Night Shifts) About the Company: Cotteswold Dairy, a well-established provider of dairy and dairy-related products, is seeking motivated and reliable Class 1 (Category CE) HGV Drivers to join our Haulage & Distribution team at the Tewkesbury Depot. Job Overview: As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for delivering dairy products to our customers and national depots on multi-drop rounds. You will work nights into early mornings, ensuring punctual deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to stock rotation procedures. A reasonable level of physical fitness is required as manual handling is a key part of the role. New pass drivers are encouraged to apply, and we provide support and training to develop your skills. Key Responsibilities: - Safely operate HGV vehicles (Category CE) in compliance with UK driving laws and company policies. - Deliver dairy products to customers across multi-drop rounds, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. - Build and maintain positive customer relationships while delivering excellent service. - Observe stock rotation and ensure high-quality standards are met. - Work independently while problem-solving on the road. - Maintain flexibility to adapt to various shift patterns, starting between 22:00 and 03:00, with the job concluding once rounds are complete. Working Hours: - 48 hours per week (rostered average) with night shifts to early morning across seven days on a rotating basis. - Flexibility is required for varying start times, typically between 22:00 and 03:00. - Job completion is based on a "job + finish" schedule. Requirements: - Clean UK driving licence, Category CE or above. - Experience with night shifts preferred. - Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including manual handling and working in a fast-paced environment. - Positive attitude, attention to detail, and reliability for night-time commuting. - Newly qualified drivers are welcome, with full support and training provided.
