Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and experiencedMulti-Skilled/Mechanical Fitterto join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems. This role involves working across a variety of projects and industries, ensuring the efficient operation of machinery, minimizing downtime, and enhancing overall productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical systems and equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure continuous and safe operations
- Inspect and diagnose faults on equipment to identify any potential issues
- Dismantle and reassemble machinery for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Work closely with the electrical and operations teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety standards and company protocols
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Assist in training and mentoring junior fitters and apprentices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Multi-Skilled Technician in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams and blueprints
- Familiarity with maintenance and repair of heavy industrial equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Relevant mechanical or engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
