Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and experiencedMulti-Skilled/Mechanical Fitterto join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems. This role involves working across a variety of projects and industries, ensuring the efficient operation of machinery, minimizing downtime, and enhancing overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical systems and equipment
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure continuous and safe operations
  • Inspect and diagnose faults on equipment to identify any potential issues
  • Dismantle and reassemble machinery for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Work closely with the electrical and operations teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety standards and company protocols
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior fitters and apprentices

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Multi-Skilled Technician in an industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical diagrams and blueprints
  • Familiarity with maintenance and repair of heavy industrial equipment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Relevant mechanical or engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to health and safety practices
