What You'll Be Doing as the Production Manager
- Lead the production team: Ensure CNC operators are working to schedule and maximising efficiency. You'll be responsible for achieving production targets, improving performance, and driving continuous improvement across the shop floor.
- Foster a safety-first culture: Lead by example and ensure that health and safety standards are not only met but exceeded. You'll own accident investigations and ensure housekeeping standards are of the highest level.
- Drive customer focus: Ensure production is always aligned with customer needs and be the driving force behind delivering high-quality products on time.
- Cost management: Manage operating costs, keeping them within budget and forecast. This includes controlling labour, consumables, and reducing scrap costs to drive profitability.
- Develop and motivate the team: You'll provide training and development opportunities for CNC operators, ensuring they're fully engaged and skilled in their roles.
What You'll Need to Apply for the Production Manager position:
- Experience in managing production teams in a CNC environment.
- An engineering background.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
What You'll Receive as the Production Manager
- A salary of up to 50,000, a pension contribution of up to 7.5%, 25 + 8 holidays, and life assurance x 5 salary.
Hours of Work:
- 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Thursday, 8 am-16.30 am, Friday, 8 am-1.30 pm.
