Deputy Nursery Manager

We are recruiting a deputy nursery manager for a good rated nursery in Stevenage. The nursery was purpose built and is close to the town centre with ample on site parking There are 24 staff who care for the 92 children who attend the nursery. On their last OFSTED inspection, the nursery was rated as good. They offer an excellent salary plus many other company benefits. This role will be a mix of office and room based activities. The ideal candidate will: • Ensure the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met in all aspects of the nursery. • Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed by all. • Support key people as they identify training or development needs for staff. • Ensure that all children receive age appropriate education. • Ensure any complaints or concerns raised are dealt with in a thorough and timely manner. • Ensure all records and reports are kept up to date. • Market and always promote the nursery in a positive light. • Duties and responsibilities in this job description are not exhaustive. • Have at least 1 year experience in a similar position, or a minimum of 2 years at room leader position. Key Areas: · To deputize for the manager in their absence · To liaise closely with parents/carers to ensure high levels of involvement and customer satisfaction at all times · To work closely with finance to support the day to day financial operations within the nursery. · Manage a staff team effectively. · To monitor and assess the quality of the provision ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained. · To agree and set nursery goals and monitor the achievement and progress. · To work closely with the MD to support the operational running of the nursery. · Maintain confidentiality procedures.
