Technical Director of Planning Services (Minerals and Waste) West Midlands £ - Attractive salary plus benefits Our client, a leading environmental consultancy, is seeking a Technical Director to take responsibility for the technical quality and development of the company’s planning services. As a key member of the management team, you will be expected to play a proactive role in company performance and the development of new business opportunities for strategic growth. With direct line management responsibilities for the planning team, you will promote training, technical awareness and career progression. You will direct and have an input to projects and have up to date knowledge of UK Planning and environmental legislation. You will, together with the planning team, provide guidance and technical advice to clients regarding planning policy and legislation, co-ordinate EIAs and prepare Environmental Statements and planning and DCO applications. Candidate Requirements: * Previous consultancy experience. * Previous experience working in minerals and waste planning. * RTPI membership. * Experience in project management, budgeting and financial control. * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Business development experience.
