Assistant Head Housekeeper

What youll bring to the team Location: Chessington World of Adventures Resort Leatherhead Road Chessington Surrey KT9 2NE Here at Chessington World of Adventures we are recruiting for an Assistant Head Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team! In this role you will be responsible for assisting the Head Housekeeper in the efficient operation of the housekeeping department, with a focus on delivering the daily requirement of rooms for guests at time of check in, to the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency and guest satisfaction. You will support with the recruitment, training and people management of the Supervisors and Housekeepers, acting as a role model to develop a positive, professional and strong team with an aligned focus on the guest experience and quality of service. You will ensure that all guests requests and concerns are responded to in a timely and empathetic manner, whilst ensuring effective departmental and interdepartmental communication throughout the Resort, working with counterparts to streamline operations and to enhance the guest experience. You will also support with the purchasing, delivery, storage and distribution of all housekeeping inventory and supplies. Qualifications & Experience Experienced manager with the ability to communicate clearly, motivating and inspiring a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment. Proven track record of correcting issues in the moment to drive standards. Previous Hospitality experience. Ability to communicate and influence at all levels. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Familiar with OPERA PMS (preferable). Able to lead by example. High standards and acute attention to detail.
