The vacancy Are you passionate about supporting education through innovative learning resources? We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our Learning Resources team. This role is crucial in implementing an integrated learning resource service that enhances the learning, teaching, and research activities of the College. Scope and Purpose of the Role: As a Team Leader, you will support the implementation of both traditional and virtual learning technologies. You will lead the service points at North Lindsey and UCNL Learning Resource Centre's, ensuring all stakeholders receive a high-quality service. In the absence of the Group Learning Resources Manager, you will deputise for them. Essential Criteria: Maths & English GCSE Grade C or above. A L3 Business supervisory qualification or above, or experience of supervising a team in a busy environment (preferably within an education setting). Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in managing both physical and electronic learning resources. Commitment to providing high-quality customer service. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and Saturdays. A knowledge of library classification systems is desirable.Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Line manage and lead the Learning Resources team, ensuring a high-quality, customer-focused service. Service Support: Assist staff and students in accessing physical and electronic resources, maintaining appropriate study environments. Student Focus: Foster strong relationships with students, ensuring quality customer service and a conducive study environment. Staff Rota Management: Develop and maintain staff rotas, manage TOIL requests, annual leave, sickness, and absence. Quality Improvement: Monitor and evaluate centres to ensure continuous quality improvement, providing reports and statistics. Enquiry Management: Coordinate procedures for handling user enquiries and complaints, ensuring quality standards are met. Curriculum Collaboration: Build effective relationships with curriculum teams to support diverse learning styles. Resource Development: Work with managers to develop study spaces and environments that support various learning activities. Promotion and Training: Develop strategies for promoting services and delivering staff and student training.
