Quality Engineer Job ID: 32651 Monday to Friday £30,000 - £36,000 per annum Barton and Tredworth, Gloucester Our client is a leading precision manufacturing business and due to growth they are in need of another Quality Engineer. Our client is also happy to look at experienced Quality Inspectors looking to take that next step in their career. This is an exciting opportunity as it will give you exposure to a company that manufactures to a wide range of industries including Automotive, Aerospace, Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas and many more. Ideal candidate background needed for the Quality Engineer * Engineering related education (minimum of NVQ/C&G level 3 upwards) * 1+ years professional experience in a Quality Engineer position or 3+ years in a Quality Inspection/Senior Quality Inspection position * Knowledge of ISO management systems * Experience of being a part of a Quality team in a manufacturing environment * Use of Quality Management Systems * Problem solving using 8D (or other tools) * Auditing experience (System, product, process) * Strong analytical skills * Ability to understand engineering drawings. * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Pragmatic approach to problem solving. Main Duties of the Quality Engineer * Inspection of product to company and customer specifications. * Planning and conducting Internal Audits of plant processes and working practices to ensure compliance and the resolution of non-conformances. * Attend daily SQDIP meetings, investigate, resolve & report shop floor quality issues. * Using Quality Tools for the Analysis of defects in materials and products and recommends * corrective measures to maintain quality standards. Maintains and continually improves the * quality of the product, monitor & report quality KPI’s. * Drives corrective and preventative actions including process and product design improvements for procedural, product or product deficiencies through the analysis of data. * Playing an active role in quality improvement programs to improve the product and processes, by using and promoting lean thinking and processes to continuously improve. * Process Customer complaints & warranty issues. * Ensure that the quality assurance measures prescribed within the company procedures are adhered to at any stage of manufacture.
