Position Overview: We are actively seeking a talented Estimator to join our clients dynamic team in Bridgwater. This role is essential in all of their project planning and execution processes, allowing them to maintain high standards while delivering competitive cost estimates across their divisions. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare Accurate Cost Estimates: Develop detailed and competitive cost estimates for various projects, focusing on their Construction, Shopfitting & Interiors, and General Works divisions. * Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project specifications and ensure all requirements are met. * Analyze Costs: Assess labor, material, and overhead costs to produce comprehensive estimates. * Review Project Documents: Analyze drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in estimating. * Build Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for relevant pricing information. * Monitor Market Trends: Keep abreast of market conditions to inform pricing strategies and improve estimate accuracy. * Support Bidding Process: Assist in preparing bids and proposals to secure new projects. * Provide Project Support: Offer ongoing support to the project management team throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications: * Experience: Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with a strong background in commercial projects. * Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with estimation software and the Microsoft Office Suite. * Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. * Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with various stakeholders. * Educational Background: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
