** Location: Tonbridge, Kent

** Placement: Full-time, Long term

Twenty4Seven Education is seeking a qualified, nurturing and devoted Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to work within a vibrant ‘Good’ Ofsted rated SEND School. This exciting new role is to start ASAP on a full-time long term basis. This unique school is an ambitious setting for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe and complex needs, many of whom are on the Autistic Spectrum. The staff here make a positive impact on children’s education.
Learning, enjoyment and engagement are now supported by remarkable facilities, including a dance room, sports hall, play areas, a rebound therapy room and an exceptionally well-equipped therapeutic area.

Key Responsibilities:
* Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions
* Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
* Plan and teach well-structured differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the school's curriculum policy
* Give pupils regular feedback and encourage pupils to respond to the feedback
* Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school’s behaviour policy
* Deploy any support staff effectively
* Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
* Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils’ achievements and well-being
Must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with children with SEND within an educational setting or similar (minimum of 12 months of experience)
* Child and Adult DBS check on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
* Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document
* Excellent classroom management
* Good communication skills
