Seamstress / Sewing Machinist 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday £12 per hour Our client based in Swindon are looking for a Seamstress/Sewing Mechanist to join their team. They are looking for a hard-working individual who can offer flexibility and commitment. This highly motivated individual will need to display a professional approach to their work and have a genuine ‘can do’ attitude towards their responsibilities.  Responsibilities Ensuring that sewing machines and other equipment are in good working order.  Altering or repairing customers garments and other articles, which includes hemming, mending, lengthening, as well as taking in and letting out seams. Constructing garments and other articles and recording the alternations required. Using irons and pressing machines to erase the crease on the garments and other articles.  To report any complaints, accidents, equipment malfunction, maintenance faults, suspicious persons, safety hazards or other incidents immediately to the supervisor or the duty Manager.  To understand and follow all the objectives, standards, policies and procedures outlined by your Manager. Requirements Previous experience as a seamstress or tailoring Ability to thrive in a fast-paced atelier, working with a calm, positive and problem-solving attitude.   Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety standards. Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and materials, including delicate and high-end textiles. Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
