Trainee Management Accountant

Opus People Solutions are seeking a Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis in Ipswich. We are seeking candidates ready to take their next step in the world of finance and are serious about their learning and development. It's likely that the successful candidate will have some office experience, preferably within a finance function. You'll work with other talented individuals that will offer their support and help develop you into a fully fledged Management Accountant in the future. Day to day, you will: Analyse and accurately report the financial implications of each of our different businesses and service types (ecommerce, term time, package delivery), with a good understanding of the accounting treatments to be applied Work with contract managers to track spending and monitor financial performance against budget Support operational contract managers in ensuring variable income has been completed using the correct process workflows and the required profit margin has been achieved. Responsible for preparing and posting journals as part of the monthly preparation of services' accounts Regular and ad hoc reporting Support the management accounting team in preparation of cost analysis, financial planning and budgetingThe good bits, the benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 26 after a year of service. 2 months full sick pay plus an additional 2 months half sick pay.
