HGV Fitter

Calling all skilled HGV Fitters! Vector have an exciting opportunity for an HGV Fitter to join our client in Surrey.

With a competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum, with great opportunities for overtime paid at enhanced rates. This role offers stability and growth within a dynamic work environment.

The Job:

• Ensure efficient first-time repair of vehicles and equipment, keeping within budget constraints.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose issues, and execute maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and plant equipment.
• Adhere to minimum MOT standards as outlined in relevant manuals and publications.
• Utilise vehicle diagnostic equipment accurately, following manufacturer guidelines for electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair.
• Complete and submit all necessary documentation, work orders, and service sheets promptly and accurately.

Who we re looking for:

• Have HGV Fitter / HGV Mechanic experience or hold NVQ or equivalent qualification in heavy vehicle and equipment inspection and repair.
• HGV Class 2 (Category C) License is desirable however training is available for suitable candidates.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform repairs to a high standard, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Exhibit flexibility in task allocation and team collaboration while maintaining the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in working alone when necessary.
• Awareness of COSHH regulations.

Hours:

The standard hours of work are Monday - Friday, 6am - 4.30pm, 45 hours per week. On call duties will be required, there is can be adjusted slightly to suit.
