Reporting to: CEO

 

Location: Vauxhall, London (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

Role Summary Business Development Manager  

 

In the role of Sales Manager, you will be responsible for creating, managing & closing new business opportunities. You will be tasked with building a pipeline of opportunities through a variety of channels, such as cold calling, email outreach & LinkedIn research. Alongside our Marketing Directors, you will also be tasked with hitting monthly revenue targets through closing new opportunities. You are tasked with building and maintaining strong, long-lasting client relationships, understanding their business needs and guiding them to fully utilise our services to achieve their goals. 


Your proactive engagement will help win new clients, promote account growth, and maintain high levels of client retention. You will also work closely with the business unit leaders to align on strategies that enhance our service offerings and improve customer lifetime value. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Lead Generation & Business Development: 

  • Identify and nurture new sales opportunities from potential customers.  
  • Develop and implement strategies for upselling and cross-selling to expand account sizes. 
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market and adjacent markets to create a pipeline of future clients. 
  • Consistently hit monthly/quarterly revenue targets.  
  • Identify opportunities for lead generation within the existing customer base. 


Expectations 

 

The ideal Sales Manager will: 

  • Be Strategic: Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategies for client retention and expansion. 
  • Be Empathetic and Proactive: Understand client challenges and pre-emptively offer solutions. 
  • Be a Collaborator: Liaise with different departments to advocate for customer needs. 
  • Be Data-Driven: Use analytics to drive decisions and improve sales outcomes. 
  • Be Dedicated: Commit to the long-term success and growth of client accounts. 

 

Qualifications  

 

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, preferably in the events sector. 
  • Strong track record of hitting & exceeding sales targets  
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. 
  • Demonstrable ability to manage complex projects with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Ability to hit the ground running and fully own the entire 360 sales process
