You'll steer the financial ship, taking full ownership of the books and shaping the company's fiscal future. Our client's long-standing management accountant is set to retire in six months, leaving an opportunity for a new financial expert to take the reins. For the right candidate, this transition period offers a unique chance to extract every ounce of knowledge from the seasoned incumbent before embarking on an autonomous financial journey. The Role: · Take the reins from the retiring incumbent, ensuring a seamless transition of all financial processes · Bring outsourced accounting functions in-house, from bookkeeping and payroll to finalising accounts · Implement robust internal controls, processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives · Oversee cash flow forecasting and financial planning to align with operational needs · Liaise with the CFO, providing insightful financial reporting and decision support · Gradually integrate the company's finances with the broader group's strategic objectives The Ideal Candidate: · Qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA with experience in an operational service delivery including vehicle or equipment hire, rental and return environment · Strong technical expertise in payroll, credit control, accounts payable/receivable · Proven ability to optimise and streamline financial processes independently · Excellent Sage proficiency in handling payroll, reporting and compliance seamlessly · Exceptional communication skills to engage stakeholders as a financial business partner · Self-motivated with the ability to manage financial operations autonomously · Committed long-term outlook aligned with the company's growth trajectory The Opportunity: · Autonomous leadership role with full ownership of all financial activities · Exposure to the dynamic vehicle hire industry's unique financial dynamics · Potential to progress into a Financial Controller position as the company grows · Hybrid working options are available after an initial 6-month on-site period If you are ready to accelerate your career by taking the financial reins of an industry leader, apply now.
