UI Engineer Manager

Possibility of Remote/Hybrid/Onsite - £150,000 - £800,000 – London, United Kingdom Our client is a global, leading fintech seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Engineering Manager with expertise in Node.js and React to join our dynamic team.The ideal candidate will be a player-coach and play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our web applications, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user experience.Responsibilities:• Develop robust, responsive, and scalable front-end solutions using Node.js and React.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features and products.• Design and implement user interfaces that are intuitive, visually appealing, and meet user requirements.• Optimize application performance through code refactoring, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in front end development and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges.• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members to foster growth and collaboration.• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.• Proven experience as a Front-End Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies.• Hands-on experience with Node.js and React, with a deep understanding of their core principles and best practices.• Experience with front end build tools such as Webpack, Babel, and npm.• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Additional:• Knowledge of TypeScript or other statically typed languages.• Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.Education & Experience:• 5+ years of Finance experience• 2+ years of Management experience.
