Information Technology Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer £30-35,000 Milton Keynes T2M Resourcing are working exclusively with a manufacturing and technology business; they are seeking a new IT Support Engineer to join their in-house IT team. This is a broad IT support and systems administration role to provide support across engineering, design, production, and office support departments. Key duties of an IT Support Engineer: Troubleshooting IT issues in the manufacturing and engineering departments. Respond to support tickets logged by support and engineering departments. Plan and manage proactive software, network, and security updates. Assist in implementations of new software systems such as ERP and MRP. Set up user profiles and devices for new users during onboarding. Ensure that data is backed-up and secure. Requirements to be successful as an IT Support Engineer: Experience in a similar IT support/administration role. Qualifications in computer science, Business Information Technology or similar. Certifications such as CompTIA, CISCO, or similar. Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft products. Network security experience such as Firewalls, anti-virus administration, and physical access control. Strong skills in Windows Servers, Virtualisation/Hyper-V, and Networking. Understanding of systems administration tools such as Active Directory, Intune, and Azure. Able to problem solve across varied IT and software systems. IT Hardware and component awareness, Graphics Cards, RAM, and cabling. This IT Support Engineer position is based in Milton Keynes and will include travel to multiple sites; a UK driving license is essential.
