Maintenance Assistant (Permanent) London

Location: London (Covering South West London, West London and North London)

Salary: 33,000 to 34,000 + benefits (with overtime paid at time and a half)

Contract Type: Permanent

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join their team and deliver exceptional service to their exclusive clients. If you're looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced, high-performing environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake general property maintenance and repairs including carpentry, tiling and general repairs to doors, windows and locking systems.
  • Installation and repairs gutters and drainpipe systems.
  • General repairs of basic plumbing.
  • Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Oversee contractors.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
  • Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.
  • Seasonal shift and on call rota.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly to health and safety.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Significant experience in property maintenance.
  • Knowledge of a building trade i.e. carpentry, door and window locks, decorating, plastering and tiling.
  • Skilled in the use of basic hand tools for maintenance and repair.
  • Hold a recognised City & Guilds (C&G) or NVQ qualification.
  • Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations and standards and a thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.
  • Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.
  • A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
