Leading the Turret Group is Dr Mohit Khurana, one of the country's leading Innovative Orthodontics clinicians. As a Turret Group staff member, you will learn the skills to support in a variety of orthodontic treatments, using the latest state-of-the-art technology and pioneering methods.
*The post holder will:*
* Ensure the best dental nursing care is delivered to patients including to patients with complex medical, physical and emotional needs.
* Support and maintain high standards of patient care and infection control.
* Have clinical knowledge in the specialty area of engagement with and assistance to the Senior members of staff delivering and maintaining the high standards of quality care within the practice.
* Act as a positive role model within the practice for all staff and patients by upholding the Turret values; smiling, being solution focused and an exemplary team player.
* Provide teaching and support to trainee nurses when required, through harnessing their skills and sharing resources to learn and grow.
* Be committed to furthering your professional development, learning new skills (including improving your technological skills in line with our new state-of-the-art in-practice technology
*Clinical Practice*
The post holder will be expected to:
* Be responsible for the preparation and organisation of dental units where clinical procedures will be undertaken.
* Collaborate with other health care professionals in the delivery of high standards of effective orthodontic care within best practice guidelines.
* Monitor the patients’ physical signs prior to, during, and post treatment, enabling early recognition of condition changes, and ensure appropriate corrective action is instituted.
* Demonstrate awareness of legislation e.g. child protection, vulnerable adults, mental health issues, and act appropriately when required.
* Practice, in accordance with the GDC Code of Professional Conduct, to ensure a safe and quality service is provided.
* Develop good working relationships with clinicians and treatment co-ordinators to ensure the patient journey is effective and efficient, resulting in good patient outcomes.
* Contribute to clinical governance processes including adverse incident reporting.
* Promote health education to patients when required.
* Ensure competence in the correct use of all equipment used in the clinical setting in accordance with instructions and practice procedures, reporting any faults as necessary.
* Work independently and have responsibility for own actions when delivering dental nursing care.
* Achieve and maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection control in line with current Code of Practice.
* Process and develop radiographs, complying with current regulations.
* Demonstrate an overall awareness of quality issues and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
* Read the Turret Values and demonstrate them in your daily practice.
*Education*
The post holder will be expected to:
* Maintain own continuing professional development in accordance with CPD requirements, thereby contributing to the formation of personal objectives and development plan.
* Provide an environment that encourages patient involvement where patients seek help, advice, and education.
*Communication*
The post holder will be expected to:
* Communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, other staff members, professional bodies and external agencies.
* Liaise with dental laboratories regarding work/reports for patients.
* Communicate with other healthcare groups and work in collaboration with them regarding the patients’ continuing care.
* Provide oral health advice to all patients on a one-to-one basis, placing reasonable adjustments in place to support possible communication barriers where necessary.
* Participate in relevant promotional days.
* Provide telephone advice and reassurance regarding patients with emergency dental problems and support/educate the reception team where necessary.
* Use email and other effective channels for communication, in accordance with company guidelines.

Pay: £12.00-£13.50 per hour
