Senior Project Manager - Prison construction and renovation Location: WFH with travel around the South West, from Dartmoor to Gloucester, to Winchester and the IOW Salary: £62,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday We are seeking an expert in construction Project Management with public sector experience and an ability to lead a team to join our team at GFSL. We are a Ministry of Justice business who provides critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Project Manager with any combination of: - 3 years managerial and technical experience in project delivery for construction and renovation works - Experience in minor works projects covering a diverse range of services including mechanical, LV & HV electrical, groundworks and civil, building fabric, fire and security - Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and Safety (including CDM) building regulations, planning and building standards - Considerable knowledge of the built environment - Proven experience directly managing teams of Project Managers and other Project Workers, including involvement and confidence with recruitment practices and procedures - Management of project budgets from £50,000 to around £500,000 - Experienced in managing multiple projects, at different stages of development across range of disciplines and establishments - Expert knowledge of a project-based business area, running high volume low value work programmes up to £10m per annum - Project Management qualifications (e.g. MSP; PRINCE2; APM) - Public sector, defence or similar experience preferred - Driving license - Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
