Housing Lawyer

Our Local Authority client based in the West Midlands, is currently recruiting for a Housing Lawyer on a locum basis for 3-months initially, with potential extension.The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and the hourly rate is in the region of £45 p/hour UMB.The ideal candidate will have Local Government experience and a strong background in Housing Law.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Managing a mixed caseload of Housing Litigation with matters including homelessness possessions, ASB and general housing managementSupporting the City Solicitor and Legal team with regard to the conduct of legal caseworkAttending Court hearing in the West Midlands on a weekly basisDealing with Judicial Review cases issued by individuals in relation to homelessness appealsRewards and Benefits:Hybrid workingWeekly attendance required at CourtWorking hours:35 hours per week Monday – FridayPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
