Job Summary Day-to-day, you will be involved in the development of electrical engineering solutions to a variety of our clients projects within the rail industry, from concept to construction. The role offers a great opportunity to join successful, established teams and work alongside some of the best engineers on a wide variety of major projects across the UK’s rail industry. The role includes all aspects of technical delivery, work winning and client engagement. Our ideal candidate is adaptable, pragmatic and passionate about delivering solutions that will enable our clients to deliver better infrastructure within the rail industry.Role accountabilities: Interpretation and implementation of client specification requirements in the development of designs and engineering solutionsUndertake electrical services design/engineering on UK rail or related projects with a good understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant standardsUndertake technical tasks in accordance with the company’s quality, safety and project management/engineering procedures and controls Preparation of calculations, technical reports, specifications and drawingsDelivery of allocated technical assignments including LV distribution, cable management system, energy metering, lighting and control, earthing and bonding, sustainable technologies and renewable energy systems, etc Inputs to the formulation of technical proposalsAccountable for the effective delivery of the assigned tasks and deliverables of Projects to time, to the required quality and budget Maintain good relationships with client’s key representatives, and contribute to the marketing / networking of the company to potential customers Contribute to the overall team development and growth through strategic inputs, skill development and mentoring intermediate and graduate engineers Manage and plan your work and deliverables while working on multiple projects to meet the expected delivery milestones Essential Criteria:Right to work in the UKDegree in Electrical Engineering (Bsc, MSc or MEng) or equivalentAt least 5+ years, post-graduate experience in electrical engineeringExperience in the Rail Industry and a sound understanding of the Rail Environment, rules and regulationsKnowledge of TfL or Network Rail design assurance processes Competent user of office IT and design software tools i.e., AMTECH, Dialux, etcWorking knowledge of AutoCad/REVITExperience and good knowledge of TfL Pathway or Network Rail GRIP, PACE and engineering standards and specificationsExperience and good knowledge of using electrical engineering standards and specifications (Rail or Building related)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work under pressure within time constraintsDisplayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge baseProven capability to build relationships, be proactive and be part of a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams Computer literate and good experience of computer software programs such as, MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)A challenging attitude towards solving engineering problems to achieve cost effective designs and develop innovative solutionsDesirable Criteria:Working towards Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng etc)Knowledge of the complete project life cycle Renumeration and Benefits:Basic Salary - CompetitiveAnnual Bonus - Lucrative bonus depending on company performanceBenefits - Pension Scheme, Flexi-time working arrangements, Professional Membership Fees, Annual Gym Membership, Free Breakfast (Canary Wharf Office), Free after work drinks at our Canary Wharf office barPrivate healthcare
