Technologist Barnoldswick, Lancashire, BB18 5HP Full time (Monday – Friday) Permanent position £26,000- £28,000 per annum Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UK FILTROX Carlson Ltd has its origins in 1923 – established as Carlson Ltd by John C Carlson - and has been located in Barnoldswick since 1950. We are experts in depth filtration of valuable liquids and have built a strong position in the global market for filter equipment and filter media. From the whisk(e)y, wine and brewing industries to the clarification of fruit juices and filtration in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries, we develop, produce and distribute a wide range of products for all applications. Operating from our facility in Barnoldswick, we supply our products not only across the UK but also over 130 countries through an extensive network of agents and dealers. The Role As a Technologist , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of our products. Key Responsibilities: Assist in raw material and production quality control systems Maintain product specifications, plant data, and furnish systems Provide technical support and recommendations to Sales and customers Create certificates of analysis and conduct product application testing Perform lenticular module integrity testing and new raw material comparisons Deputise for Senior Technologist in bacteria retention and endotoxin testing Carry out production water microbial testing Support production optimisation projects and assist with machine trials Implement and maintain 5S standards Conduct internal audits and COSHH assessments Provide training and support to new employees Ensure high housekeeping standards across the plant Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Company pension scheme Monday to Friday schedule, providing a great work-life balance The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented professional with a passion for technical processes and teamwork.
