Technical Buyer

Norbar Torque Tools Ltd, the world leading torque tool manufacturer has a vacancy for an experienced Technical Buyer to join the existing Procurement team. This new position, responsible to the Head of Operations, will be required to purchase goods, materials and commodities to ensure our production operational needs are met considering cost, quality, delivery and lead times ensuring continuity of supply. You will be expected to identify, screen, evaluate engineering suppliers, negotiate, set up and manage supplier contracts. You will have previous technical procurement experience as you will be expected to provide technical engineering support/assistance to the procurement team in developing awareness of manufacturing processes. A manufacturing/engineering background is a distinct advantage and a level 6 CIPS qualification at a minimum is essential. In return we can offer a starting salary of circa £55,000.
