Are you the Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to join one of the most exciting private developers in the London. This forward-thinking company is looking to add to its established Commercial team with the addition of a Assistant Quantity Surveyor within its office located in London.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a driven individual to develop their expertise in quantity surveying while contributing to the successful delivery of residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the senior quantity surveyor with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and valuations for residential developments.
  • Support in the management of project costs from inception through to completion, ensuring financial efficiency and value for money.
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of tenders, contracts, and procurement strategies.
  • Monitor and control project costs, identifying and addressing any variances to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of projects.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, including progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Conduct site visits to assess work progress and support the resolution of any financial or contractual issues.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with quantity surveying software is an advantage.
  • A proactive and organized approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and UK building regulations is desirable.
  • A strong desire to learn and develop within the quantity surveying profession.

Package:

  • £40,000 - £44,000 Basic (depending on experience)
