Job Title: Learning Support Assistant Location: Croydon Position: Full Time Start Date: ASAP Specialism: Autism Support, Key Stage 1 Learning Support Assistant Job Description: A mainstream primary school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on supporting children in Key Stage 1, particularly those with Autism. Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism in Key Stage 1. Assist in implementing individual learning plans and behaviour strategies. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and materials. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Support pupils in their social, emotional, and academic development. Maintain consistent communication with parents and other professionals involved in the child's education.Learning Support Assistant Requirements: Previous experience working with children with Autism or other Special Educational Needs (SEN). Strong understanding of Key Stage 1 curriculum. Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and SENCO. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
